Upgrading Licence Manager
Note: When you upgrade from Licence Manager 14.x and earlier to Licence Manager 14.7, you MUST uninstall the previous version before installing the latest version. Usually when you upgrade Licence Manager, you run the installation file. However, uninstalling the previous version of Licence Manager is important because there are significant changes in the installer for Licence Manager 14.7.
When you upgrade Licence Manager, the installer automatically removes the previous version and loads all the licences from the previous version into the new version. This part of the installation process ensures that you do not have multiple versions of Licence Manager on the same computer.
Tip: Licence Manager 14.7 references a different share\etc path for the ssilm.tok file. For your licences to be available in Licence Manager 14.7, you can copy the ssilm.tok file from the share\etc directory of the existing installation and copy it to the share\etc directory of the Licence Manager 14.7 installation. If both the previous version of Licence Manager and Licence Manager 14.7 are installed to the default directories, this means copying the file from C:\Users\Public\Gemcom\LicenceManager\share\etc and pasting it to C:\Users\Public\GEOVIA\LicenceManager\share\etc.
