Setting Up the Licence Manager Server

Follow this general process for the initial setup of the Licence Manager server.

1. Install Licence Manager from the GEOVIA installation disc.
   Alternatively, use the installation file that you downloaded from the GEOVIA Support website.
2. Stop the Licence Manager service.
3. If you have a tokens file (.udt), add or update the tokens using the .udt file.
   If you have an HTML file, add or update the tokens using the HTML file.
4. Start the Licence Manager service.

Note: After you have set up the server (and started the service), the licence server automatically distributes licences on your network. For help about using a network licence on a client, see Setting Up Surpac or Minex to Use the Licence Server or Setting Up GEMS to Use the Licence Server.
