What's New: Surpac™ 6.5
Surpac 6.5 includes the following functionality:
Hub integration
The Hub module allows you to directly check files in and out from GEOVIA™ Hub. Right-click in the Navigator to use the Hub commands. The FAQs and troubleshooting help topic can help you connect if you experience connection problems. A Hub Quick Start Guide is also available in tutorials\shared tutorials
Plotting to DraftSight
Dassault Systèmes DraftSight™ is a 2D design package with a wide range of plotting markup tools, a layer manager, and the ability to send plots to .dxf, .dwg, and .pdf file formats. You can install DraftSight from the Surpac DVD or the Surpac installation file. If you have the Surpac licensing module, DraftSight Connector, you can then plot .dwf files to DraftSight rather than to the Plotting window.
The Surpac Plotting tutorial contains some examples of how to plot from Surpac to DraftSight.
You can set the plotting program to use in Default preferences > Plotting > Plot window > Default plot editor.
Samples in ring design
When you save holes in ring design to a database, you can create sample intervals. To use this feature with an existing ring design database, you must add a sample interval table. When you create a new ring design database, a sample table is automatically created.
Export to 3DVIA Composer
You can export VRML files of surfaces, solids, and block models coloured by attribute, that you can open in Dassault Systèmes 3DVIA Composer ™. 3DVIA Composer allows you to create vivid 3D presentations that explain specific points of interest about resource models, and about surface and underground mine designs. You can then use these presentations in Microsoft Word or PowerPoint, or output an .avi file or a standalone .exe.
Navigator shortcut menu
The height of the Navigator shortcut menu is reduced by converting the following menu commands to a set of familiar icons: Cut, Copy, Paste, Rename, Delete, and Properties.
This reduced menu height minimizes mouse movement, improves command selection speed, and limits the area obscured by the shortcut menu.
