Hub commands
When you right-click a folder or file in the Navigator, one or more Hub commands appear on the shortcut menu.
| Command | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Start using Hub | Installs Hub Client. |
| Stop using Hub |
Closes Hub after all pending Hub processes are finished. The commands on the Surpac Navigator are displayed as text again rather than icons.
|
| Start Hub | Starts Hub again, after you have stopped it. |
| Set Hub Profile | Sets the Hub profile. The profile specifies the Hub server you will connect to, and the login credentials. |
| Change active Hub profile from <profileName> | Allows you to use a different profile or to create a new profile. |
| Add folder to Hub | Allows you to add all the files in the folder to Hub. The folder is then managed by Hub. When you upload a folder, you must select a store folder to add the files to. A store folder is a grouping of related files. The Hub Administrator can set up store folders. |
| Detach folder from Hub | Makes Hub stop managing the folder. The folder is removed from Hub, but not from your computer. |
| Upload new/changed files to Hub | Adds to Hub any new files in your local folder, and uploads any changed files from your local folder. |
| Download new files from Hub | Allows you to get new files that other people have uploaded to Hub. |
| Get latest version from Hub | Allows you to get the latest version of files that other people have changed and loaded to Hub. |
| Get lock status | Updates the status icons for the files managed by Hub. |
| Delete files from local and Hub | Deletes files from your local file system and, if you wish, from the Hub server. You are prompted to 'sync to server', which means to delete the file from Hub server. Alternatively, you can sync to server at any time using the Upload new/changed files to Hub command. |
| Request Lock | Locks a file so that other people cannot edit the file until you have finished working with it. |
| Unlock | Allows other people to edit the file that you had locked. |
| View Version History | Lists the previous versions of the file, and allows you to get any of those versions using the Restore button. |
