Plotting sheet setup window
To run this function: Choose File > Open > Plotting sheet setup window, or View > Other windows > Plotting sheet setup window, or Plotting > Plotting sheet setup window, or...
To create a map using the Plotting module various Sheet Entities must exist so that the map is drawn as required:
- On a sheet of the required size
- With a border of the required style
- In a drawing area in the appropriate part of the sheet
- With a map grid of the required style
- With the appropriate title block
A number of functions are provided with the Plotting module to aid you in creating and managing these various plotting sheet setup features. With the exception of the PLOT SHEET SIZES function, these permit you to create, delete and modify sheet size definitions that are used by the Plotting module.
Other functions for managing plotting sheet setup features provide an interactive graphics viewing environment to permit the features to be created, deleted and modified. These functions include:
- PLOT BORDERS - To manage border definitions
- PLOT DRAW AREAS - To manage drawing area definitions
- PLOT GRIDS - To manage grid definitions
- PLOT TITLES - To manage title block definitions
The plotting sheet setup features are maintained in a number of files in the SSI_PLOTTING: directory. Although these files are editable text files the preferred method of manipulating the data in these files is through the sheet setup management functions provided in the plotting module.
The files in the SSI_PLOTTING: directory that are used for plotting sheet setup features are:
- sheets.ssi - For sheet size definitions
- borders.ssi - For border definitions
- drwareas.ssi - For drawing area definitions
- grids.ssi - For grid definitions
- titles.ssi - For title block definitions
