Reporting on Licence Usage

The licence usage report includes the following details for each licence currently in use, and the total number of licences currently available:

the host on which the licence is running
the user name of the session using that licence
the product being used
the version of the product being used
the class of licence being used
the Licence ID of the licence being used
the state of the licence
The Standby state indicates that the licence is not active. If all licences are currently in use, a licence in a Standby state can be reassigned to another user.

The following image is an example of the licence usage report.

The State of a licence is appears as:

the name of the function being run
The name of the function that is running or has just completed. The licence state reverts to Idle within a few seconds after the function completes.

A licence is idle if it was recently in use but has been inactive for a short amount of time.
If the licence is inactive for a period that is less than the number of seconds that you defined in the Standby Timeout box in the Edit Configuration form, the licence is idle.
If the licence is inactive for a period that exceeds the number of seconds that you defined in the Standby Timeout box in the Edit Configuration form, the licence state changes to standby.
standby
A licence state is in standby if the time that the licence is inactive exceeds the number of seconds that you defined in the Standby Timeout box in the Edit Configuration form.
A licence that is in a standby state can be revoked from the current user and issued to a different user when no more licences are available and when a different user requires a licence.

Report on Licences Used

Choose Report > Licences to display a report of the licences usage and being managed by the Licence Manager. This report all licences that are currently in use and licences that are not currently in use.

Note: This report might take a few moments to appear while the Licence Manager server is being queried.
