Create Design Object

You can use this function to create a single solid representing a stope, when you are in stope design mode.

Prerequisites: You are in stope design mode. That is, you have run INIT STOPE. You have created a single polygon in a plane, to mark the boundary of the stope. If the ore extends across multiple planes, you have created a single polygon on each plane.

To run this function: Choose Design > Stope Design tools > Create design object, or...

  • In the Function Chooser, type STOPE OBJECT CREATE, and press ENTER.
Output

A solid representing the stope is created in the layer specified when you started stope design. The solid is displayed in Graphics. If you entered the name of a report when you started stope design, a report is created. The report contains values for mass, volume, grade, and contained metal inside the stope.

Note: The shape of the stope solid is affected by the orientation of the planes, and by the Stope Designer settings. If you see a different result than you expected, run STOPE PROJECT EDIT to change the settings. Remember that the stope is created perpendicular to the planes unless you have specified a dip and dip direction.
