Task: Examine tables and fields in a drill and blast database

Task: Create a new drill and blast database

  1. Click Reset graphics.
  2. Choose Database > Close database.
  3. Choose Database > Open database.
  4. Note: Make sure you are using the blastdesign Database menu, and not the Geological Database menu.

  5. Enter the information as shown, and click Apply.
  6. The Create definition for new database form appears, showing the name and location of the new database.

  7. Click Apply.
  8. Enter the information as shown, and click Apply.
  9. Enter the information as shown, and click Apply.
  10. Click Apply.
  11. A database is created and the connection to the database is displayed in the Status bar.

  12. Choose Database > Close database to disconnect from the database.

Task: Upgrade a Surpac v5.0 blast database

  1. Choose Database > Upgrade blast database.
  2. Note: Make sure you are using the blastdesign Database menu and not the Geological Database menu.

  3. Enter the information as shown, and click Apply.
  4. Click Apply and then Yes.
