Display surface or solid
You use this function to display a part of a surface or solid so that you can see and work with only the part of the object that you want.
Prerequisites: The object is open and completely, or partially, hidden by the ERASE DTM/3DM function.
Note: If the object is open, it is listed in the Layer Manager.
To run this function: Choose Display > Surface or solid, or Solids > Display > Display object, or...
Fields on the Drawing form

| Layer name |
The name of the layer that contains the data you want to display. The active layer is the default value. You can draw data from all layers in Graphics by leaving this field blank. |
| Object range |
The string or triobject range you want to display in Graphics. The range must be a standard range specifier. You can leave this field blank to draw all objects in the active layer. |
| Trisol range |
The segment or trisolation range being drawn in Graphics. The range must be a standard range specifier. You can leave this field blank to draw all trisolations of each object being drawn. |
| Triangle range |
The triangle range being drawn in Graphics. The range must be a standard range specifier. You can leave this field blank to draw all triangles in each trisolation being drawn. The triangle range can be useful when you are trying to diagnose problems creating 3DMs, for example, when you want to see if you have unintentionally created duplicate triangles. |
| Desc field number | This field does not apply to solids. |
| Text Alignment | This field does not apply to solids. |
Output
The objects and trisolations that you specified are drawn.
