Design string
Function Name:
This function is used to view or alter the design string number. This string number is also used by many of the Graphics functions when the design commands create new points or segments and Surpac is in Add mode. The design string number is ignored if Surpac is not in Add mode.
The Design String is linked to the Digitiser String that is used for digitising points to create new strings. Changing the Design String also changes the Digitiser String.
In the case of Graphics functions which create a single new point this point is added to the end of the current segment of the design string number.
When you run this function, the SET THE DESIGN STRING NUMBER form is displayed.
String number
Enter the string number which is to be used as the design string. The current design string number is displayed as the default value.
The specified number is set as the design string number and is used whenever new points or segments are created by selected Graphics functions.
