Run script from InSite

You can use this function to download and run a Surpac script stored on the InSite server. This script will create a file from Surpac data and upload it to the InSite server.

To upload a file to InSite you must first connect to InSite, using INSITE CONNECT.

To run this function: Choose File > Export > Run script from InSite, or...

  • In the Function Chooser, type INSITE SCRIPT, and press ENTER.

Field Description
Script The script, from the InSite server, used to extract the data to the specified database instance.

Output

The data is stored in the InSite database. The message Upload to Insite successful. is displayed in the message window.

Messages

Message Description
The downloaded script could not be written to the temporary file {0}. The script, downloaded from the InSite server, cannot be written to a temporary file.
The database ... cannot be found on the InSite server ... If this function is run in a macro, it is possible that the database specified has been removed from the server. Check that the database name is valid by running INSITE CONNECT interactively.
Error occurred during upload to Insite. The upload has not been successful.
Run INSITE CONNECT and connect to an InSite server before running INSITE SCRIPT or INSITE UPLOAD. You have to run INSITE CONNECT and specify the InSite server and database before you can upload a file.
