Block model display
You can use this function to display the exterior faces of the block model. Displaying the exterior faces of the block model can help you visualise and understand the model that you have created. Features that influence the manner in which the block model is drawn are the block model constraints and the colouring attributes.
To run this function: Choose Block model > Block model > Display, or...
If you do not apply block model constraints, you will see the entire model. If the colouring attributes are not defined, the entire model is displayed in the same colour.
To achieve effective results, you must use constraints and colouring attributes.
Fields on the Draw block model form
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Style |
|
| Include internal blocks? |
|
| Block Size |
The block size to use, which controls the level of detail in the block model. The smaller the block size, the greater the detail.
|
| Clear constraints? |
|
| Remove slicing? |
|
| Rescale? |
|
| Point Cloud Marker | The style of marker used if you are displaying the model as a point cloud. |
| Marker Size | The size of the Point Cloud Markers. A size of 1.0 displays a marker approximately 3% of the screen size. |
Output
The exterior faces of all blocks which meet the constraints are displayed to represent the block model. Block faces are coloured using the attribute colours defined by BM GRAPHICS ATTRIBUTE COLOUR.
Note: If you are using viewing planes, and the block model is entirely outside the view corridor, the block model might not be visible. If the block model is partly inside and partly outside the view corridor, the blocks on the plane of intersection with the view corridor are displayed.
