Block value estimates
This function estimates block grades and fractions above the specified cutoffs using the cumulative frequency function (cff) generated by the Indicator Kriging function.
To run this function: Choose Block model > Indicator kriging > Block value estimates, or...
Location, ID range, String range, D field
Complete each of these inputs to describe the string file or files from which the sample data is to be obtained.
Enter the Location and ID range of the required string files. Enter the String range (leave blank for all strings) and the description field to define the data from the string file or files which are to be used to provide estimates of class means.
Max value
Enter the maximum value to be considered in calculating the mean of the last class. Leave blank if all sample values are to be considered.
Constrain?
Enter 'Y' if you wish to restrict data selection or 'N' for unconstrained selection. See Make Constraint.
Choose Apply to display the INDICATOR CLASS MEANS form or Cancel to return to the INDICATOR KRIGING menu.
This form displays the means calculated from the specified samples for each interval between the cutoffs and for all samples greater than cutoff (and below the max value if specified).
From
The lower bound of the class interval.
To
The upper bound of the class interval. The last class has an implied upper bound of infinity or the maximum value if specified.
Mean
The arithmetic mean of all sample values that fall between the upper and lower bounds calculated from the specified sample population. This may be changed to a more suitable value if desired.
Constrain?
Enter 'Y' if you wish to restrict the blocks to be estimated or 'N' for unconstrained interpolation. See Make Constraint.
Choose Apply to perform the block value estimates or Cancel to return to the IK BLOCK VALUE ESTIMATES form.
Two real attributes will be generated for each cutoff as well as two for the zero cutoff. These are the grade of the block above that cutoff (_ikc...value) and the fraction of the block above that cutoff (_ikc...frac). For the zero cutoff, _ikc#attribute#0.0000_value will be the estimated grade of the block and _ikc#attribute#0.0000_frac will be 1 (all of the block will be above 0.0 cutoff).

Please run Indicator Kriging first. You must run BLOCK MODELLING Indicator Kriging before using Block Value Estimates.

Either there is no current model or there is no specified attribute with which to do indicator kriging. Use BLOCK MODELLING Graphics or MODEL Select Model to select a model, or use FILL Indicator Kriging to select an attribute.
