Generate a Statistics Report for Multiple Grids

RockWorks | ModOps | Grid | Statistics | Stats - Multiple Grids

This program is used to get a general summary of the contents of multiple existing grid models, whose names are read from a list in the current datasheet. The statistical summary is displayed as a textual report, in which the summary of node values and computed statistics are displayed.

You can use the statistical summary in a variety of ways: If you are performing mathematical operations with two grid files, you can create a summary of each to assure that they have the same dimensions and numbers of nodes. If you are creating grid models of the same data using different modeling methods, you can create a summary of each model to view the differences in the range of the Z-values.

Menu Options
Step-by-Step Summary

  1. Access the RockWorks Datasheet program tab.
  2. Open or create a datasheet in which the names of the existing grid models to be analyzed are listed. Here is a very simple example of how this datasheet might look:

  3. Select the ModOps | Grid | Statistics | Stats - Multiple Grids menu option.
  4. Enter the requested menu settings, described above.
  5. Click on the Process button to create the report.

The program will read the listed grid models and compute the requested statistics for each. The statistical summary will be displayed in a new tab in the window.
