Licence Manager Folder Paths

The following information describes the location of the User Defaults folder and the path for Licence Manager when you install it with a GEOVIA program.

User Defaults Folder

The User Defaults folder contains user settings and customized files. When you install Licence Manager, you can change the default location of the User Defaults folder. The default location is C:\Users\Public\GEOVIA\LicenceManager\share\etc for the following operating systems: Windows 7, Windows Server 2008, and Window Server 2012.

Licence Manager Installation Path

The default installation path for Licence Manager changed in version 14.7. For Licence Manager 14.7 and later, the default installation path is:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Dassault Systemes\GEOVIA LicenceManager\14.7\Bin\NLMAdmin.exe

For Licence Manager 14.6 and earlier, the default installation path is:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Gemcom\LicenceManager\nt_i386\bin\NLMAdmin.exe

Note: When you install GEOVIA Surpac, GEOVIA Minex, or GEOVIA Whittle, NLMAdmin.exe and NetworkLicenceManager.exe are installed in the binary directory of the Surpac, Minex, or Whittle program installation folder. There is no function within Surpac, Minex, or Whitle to check the number of licences available on the network. Instead, Licence Manager is installed with these programs by default, so you can run reports to determine the number of licences available.
