Leica GRE3, GRE4, GIF10, TPS1000 and TPS1100 Data Recorders

This topic describes the data formats for the Leica data recorders.

To run this function: Choose Survey > Data recorders > Leica GRE4, or Survey > Data recorders > Leica TPS1000, or Survey > Data recorders > Leica TPS1100, or...

• In the Function Chooser, type LEICA GRE3, and press ENTER.
• In the Function Chooser, type LEICA GRE4, and press ENTER.
• In the Function Chooser, type LEICA GIF10, and press ENTER.
• In the Function Chooser, type LEICA TPS1000, and press ENTER.
• In the Function Chooser, type LEICA TPS1100, and press ENTER.

Download and upload functions are supported for all Leica data collectors. Job names are supported on the GIF10 so you can include job names as inputs to assist when performing uploads and downloads. The data recorder files leicagre3.dr, leicagre4.dr, leicagif10.dr, leicatps1000.dr, and leicatps1100.dr are supplied in the SSI_ETC: directory.

Features NOT SUPPORTED by the Leica data recorders include:

• date values are not obtained from the data recorder
• time values are not obtained from the data recorder
• temperature values are not obtained from the data recorder
• pressure values are not obtained from the data recorder

Special features that are supported by the coding scheme employed for the Leica data recorders include:

• point description values
• offset codes
• single face pointings to new stations
• multiple face pointings to new stations
• drillhole surveys
• backsight station observation check
• resection
