Topcon FC6
You can use this function to upload and download data using a Topcon FC6 data recorder.

Download and upload functions are supported for the Topcon models that support the FC5 format. The FC5 format supports job names when loading set out points, so you can include a job name as an input to assist when uploading.
The data recorder file topconfc6.dr is supplied in the SSI_ETC: directory.
The TOPCON data recorder has three distinct output formats.
All required data can be accessed directly from special records in the data recorder except for the backsight station and the reference angle to the backsight. To obtain this information it is necessary to look at the PCODE field for the word 'REF'. If this is present then the station number is contained in the 'PT#' field. The PCODE field is also used to store the string number. The Topcon has alphanumeric capabilities. The point number field may contain either numbers or descriptions.
For the Topcon GTS700(FC6) series of instruments down load is supported, however Surpac does not support the direct uploading of points into a Topcon GTS700(FC6) instrument. If you are uploading via a cable into a GTS700 you are recommended to use the 'COPY' option on the 'Data Recorder Upload' form for this function and then upload the created file to the instrument using the Topcon TCU.EXE utility or a similar windows utility. The 'COPY' option for the GTS700 supports job names when copying set out points. The data recorder file topconfc6.dr is supplied in the SSI_ETC: directory.
