Eclipse-Husky data recorder

From the Survey menu, select Data recorders, then Eclipse-Husky to invoke the function.

Features NOT SUPPORTED by the ECLIPSE-HUSKY data recorder include:

  • Down load and upload functions
  • Date values are not obtained from the data recorder
  • Time values are not obtained from the data recorder
  • Temperature values are not obtained from the data recorder
  • Pressure values are not obtained from the data recorder
  • Co-ordinate values are not obtained from the data recorder

Above is an example of the ECLIPSE-HUSKY data format. This output is produced by HUSKY HUNTER data recorders running the latest version of the ECLIPSE data recording software.

Surpac only uses 4 of the ECLIPSE record types as described below.

Columns Description
5 and 6

Contains a 2 digit code which defines the how the remainder of data in the record is interpreted. Supported codes are:

  • 00. The record represents the start of a new survey. No other data is used from this record
  • 11. The record contains the name of the reference station
  • 31. The record contains the Setup station and height of instrument
  • 01. The record contains point observation data
Record type Columns Description
11 7 to 13 The reference station name occupies these columns, left justified
31 7 to 13 The setup station name occupies these columns, left justified.
31 14 to 19 The height of instrument, in millimetres.
01 7 to 10 The point number occupies these columns.
01 11 to 17 The slope distance in millimetres
01 18 to 24 The horizontal angle in the format DDDMMSS
01 25 to 31 The vertical angle in the format DDDMMSS
01 32 to 36 The height of target in millimetres
01 42 to 44 The string number
