Copy survey database

This function allows you to copy an existing database definition to another name and then create a new database. Only the definition file is copied from the existing database and so the newly created database will contain no data. This is useful if you wish to store data from several pits in separate databases, whilst still maintaining a common structure.

To run this function: Choose Survey > Survey database > Administration > Copy database, or...

  • In the Function Chooser, type COPY SURVEY DATABASE, and press ENTER.

The currently selected database definition will be copied. To select a different database definition, you must exit the present database and then choose SURVEYING again upon which you will be prompted to enter a new database name.
