Object copy

This function allows you to copy an object from one object number to another object number in the same position. The OBJECT Copy command will not copy an object to a new position. To copy an object to a new position you must first copy the strings to the new position and then recreate the object.

This function may prove useful if you want to make some changes to an object but are concerned that the changes may corrupt the object. By copying the object you can work on the copy and then later when you are confident that your changes are acceptable you may delete the original object.

To run this function: Choose Solids > Edit object > Copy, or...

  • In the Function Chooser, type OBJECT COPY, and press ENTER.
Select a triangle on the OBJECT to be copied

Position the pointer and select a triangle on the object that is to be copied.
