Map copy
This function allows you to copy an existing map definition to a new map name. This is useful when you have an existing map which you wish to keep, but you also want to create a new map which is similar enough to the existing map that it is easier to copy and modify than to create from scratch.
To run this function: Choose Plotting > Map > Copy, or...
Old Map name
Enter the name of the existing map which is to be copied to create a new map. The map name may be selected from a list by using the browser to display the list of map names.
New Map name
Enter the name of the map which is to be created by copying an existing map. Note that the new map cannot already exist in the plotting library.
The old map is copied to the name supplied for the new map. You may now choose to use the Map Modify function to make the necessary changes to the new map.
