Entity report
This function produces a formatted report of entities in the plotting library. Wildcard characters may be used to specify which entities are to be included in the report.
To run this function: Choose Plotting > Entity > Report, or...
Entity Name
Enter the Entity names which are to be used to generate the report. The entities to be included in the report may be selected from a list by using the browser on this field. Wildcard characters may be used to report all entities which match certain requirements.
Valid wildcard characters are:
- ?, match any single character
- *, match any string of zero or more characters
- [..], match any single character from the enclosed set. For example [a-z] would match any character in the inclusive range 'a' to 'z'. If the first character after the initial bracket is the exclamation '!', then the effect of the range is negated. For example [!m-n] would match all characters other than 'm' and 'n'.
The wildcard characters may be combined in any combination (provided it makes sense) to define some very flexible selection criteria.
Some examples are described in the table below.
Complete the REPORT ENTITIES TO A TEXT FILE form and choose Apply to report the specified entities to the report file.
The report file which is created is called entity.rpt.
