Vertical planes properties
You can use this command to perform the following:
- create a new vertical plane in an existing group
- create a new vertical plane in a new group
- move a vertical plane from one group to another
- delete one or more vertical planes
- change the properties (for example, end point coordinates, group name, or section name) of a vertical plane
To run this function: Choose Planes > Vertical > Properties, or...
To work with a plane in the Vertical Plane Properties form, you need to select it in the panel on the left side of the form. When you select a plane, it is highlighted, and also listed in the lower left corner of the form. The group containing the plane is filled in the Group Name field.
Buttons on the Vertical Plane Properties form

Create a new plane in a new group. The New plane form is displayed. You can use any letters, numbers, and characters except \ / : * ? " < > | in the plane name. The name cannot begin with a space, or end with a space or a period. The nominated plane is created in the temporary series of "New". |

Save a plane. The current plane is saved in the nominated group. |

Create a new plane in the current group. The New plane form is displayed. Use a name which is unique in the plane group. You can use any letters, numbers, and characters except \/ : * ? " < > | in the plane name. The name cannot begin with a space, or end with a space or a period. The nominated plane is created in the current group. |

Delete the current plane. The Confirm Plane Deletion form is displayed. The current plane is deleted if you click Yes. |

Delete multiple planes. The Delete Multiple Planes form is displayed. Use the SHIFT and CTRL keys to select one or more planes in one or more groups. The selected planes are deleted if you click OK. |
Fields on the Vertical Plane Properties form

| Northing | The Y coordinate value of the left endpoint of the plane. |
| Easting | The X coordinate value of the left endpoint of the plane. |
| Min. elevation | The Z coordinate value of the bottom of the plane. |
| Right-hand point | |
| Northing | The Y coordinate value of the right endpoint of the plane. |
| Easting | The X coordinate value of the right endpoint of the plane. |
| Min. elevation | The Z coordinate value of the top of the plane. |
| Group | |
| Name |
The name of the group of planes. Planes are grouped by type, then group, and then individually identified by name.

| Sequence | The number which is used to determine the order of the planes when you are moving forward and backward through the group. |
| Plane corridor | |
| Away | The distance away from the view defined by the Left-hand point and Right-hand point to display data. Data further than this distance from the plane is hidden. |
| Towards | The distance toward the view defined by the Left-hand point and Right-hand point to display data. Data further than this distance from the plane is hidden. |
| Dates | |
| Creation date | The date the planes were originally created. |
| Last update | The most recent date when the planes were modified. |
Output
The planes are created or modified based on the values you entered in the form.
