Select reference line for offsets
This function allows you to select a reference line for reporting relative hole collar and pivot positions. Typically, this reference line would be a drive centre line, or an orebody footwall or hanging wall.
To run this function: Choose Design > Ring design > Setup > Select reference line for offsets, or...
Select the point of interest
After the segment has been selected, the intersection point(s) of the segment and the current ring plane are computed. The intersection point closest to the selected position on the segment is then used as a reference point in the following functions:
- In MOVE MAST By Coords, the reported coordinates will be reported relative to the reference point.
- In DRILLING Report, the fields 'referenced collar pos' and 'referenced pivot pos' report the lateral offset of the mast collar and pivot point from the selected reference point.
ROTATE MAST
The ROTATE MAST functions allow the rotation of the mast around the current pivot position without moving the pivot position.
