Move hole by pivot position
To run this function: Choose Design > Ring design > Edit > Move Hole By Pivot Position, or...
Select and drag the pivot point you wish to offset
Markers will be displayed at the position of each hole pivot. Select the hole pivot you wish to move by pressing and holding the left mouse button down. The rig will be moved to the position of the pivot and all holes sharing the pivot will each be selected. With the left button still pressed, drag the mouse to move the pivot to the new position where it is to be located. Graphic feedback is provided to show the position of the mast, holes and pivot as they are dragged. While each hole’s toe will remain at the same location, all hole’s associated with the pivot will have their collars updated so that drilling can still occur from the mast at the pivot position. Release the mouse button to anchor pivot point at its new location. The MOVE MAST By Distance form will be displayed to allow confirmation of the movement.
X movement
Enter the distance you want the pivot to move in the X direction. If you want the pivot to move to the right, enter a positive distance, otherwise enter the distance as a negative number.
Y movement
Enter the distance you want the pivot to move in the Y direction. If you want the pivot to move upwards, enter a positive distance, otherwise enter the distance as a negative number.
Choose Apply to move the pivot and hole collars, or choose Cancel to leave the pivot in its initial position. The new pivot position will be validated for all holes drilled from this location. If, for any hole, the new pivot position would force the rig to a location outside of the survey opening, then the rig will be moved back to it's original position. The rig will be rotated in the direction of the hole that caused the violation.
Errors
The New Rig position would be located outside the Survey Opening
Warning message indicating that the mast cannot be moved to the specified coordinates and remain in the survey opening.
The new rig position would place the pivot point outside the reach of the rig
Warning message indicating that the mast cannot be moved to the specified coordinates as the pivot would be below the minimum height, above the maximum height or outside the lateral limits specified for the rig. These limits are displayed as a dashed box while using this function.
