Move mast by coordinates
This function allows you to move the mast to specified coordinates. The default values are the current coordinates of the rig. If a reference line has been selected, then coordinates are relative to this line, in the plane.
To run this function: Choose Design > Ring design > Move mast > By coordinates, or...
New X-Coordinate
Enter the new X coordinate for the mast pivot point.
New Y-Coordinate
Enter the new Y coordinate for the mast pivot point.
If the new mast location is still within the survey opening and the pivot point is within the specified limits, the mast will move to the specified coordinates, otherwise it will remain where it is and a warning will be displayed in the message window.
The New Rig position would be located outside the Survey Opening
Warning message indicating that the mast cannot be moved to the specified coordinates and remain in the survey opening.
The new rig position would place the pivot point outside the reach of the rig
Warning message indicating that the mast cannot be moved to the specified coordinates as the pivot would be below the minimum height, above the maximum height or outside the lateral limits specified for the rig. To see these limits, choose MOVE MAST By Graphics.
