Limit view by width from current section

This function places cutting planes parallel to, and on either side of the current ring to hide data further than a specified distance from the ring plane. This may be useful if other data (for example, a solid representing the ore body) is being displayed in graphics layers to aid design.

To run this function: Choose Design > Ring design > View > Limit view by width from current section, or...

  • In the Function Chooser, type LIMIT VIEW, and press ENTER.

Slice width

The width of the slice of graphics data that will still be visible after the cutting planes have been added. The two cutting planes will be added one half of this distance from the current ring.

The cutting planes added by this function may be removed by using the Delete Cutting Planes function.

The pair of parallel cutting planes which are inserted into the active viewport by this function are remembered by the VIEWING PLANES functions so that the VIEWING PLANES FORWARD and VIEWING PLANES BACKWARD functions can be used if appropriate.
