Blasting report

To run this function: Choose Design > Ring design > Reports > Blasting report, or...

  • In the Function Chooser, type BLASTING REPORT, and press ENTER.

If a design area has already been selected, you will be prompted for the names of the current drive and stope outlines with the CURRENT POSITION INFORMATION form.

Stope

The name of the current stope outline.

Drive

The name of the current drive outline.

If no drive has been selected, or the CURRENT POSITION INFORMATION form was applied, the Blasting Report function will display the RING NAME form.

Ring

The name (or number) of the ring.

Complete the RING NAME form and choose Apply to continue or choose Cancel to cancel the function. Applying the form displays the BLASTING REPORT form.

Attribute

The hole attribute to report. Possible values are:

number The hole number.
letter The hole letter corresponding to the hole number. For example, 1 = A, 2 = B, ... 27 = AA, 28 = AB ...
hole length The length of the hole.
top of charge The depth of the top of charge from the hole collar.
bottom of charge The depth of the bottom of charge from the hole collar.
charged length The length of the charged segment.
stemming length The length of the Uncharged segment (Hole length - Charged length).
explosive name The name of the explosive used to charge the hole.
explosive mass The mass of explosive in the hole.
sequence number The sequence number of the hole (that is, the detonator number of the hole).
delay The detonator delay for the hole.
pipe The '|' character - may be used to separate columns of data.
drive The name of the drive from which the hole was drilled.
stope The name of the stope used for drilling the hole.
blast number The number of the blast to which the charge interval belongs. Only relevant for holes with multiple charge segments created by MULTIBLAST CHARGE ALL HOLES or MULTIBLAST CHARGE BY RANGE. If the blast number field is included in the report the report will be grouped by blast number. At the end of each grouping, and at the and of the report, totals will be included for charged length and explosive mass (if these columns are reported).

Title

The title to print at the top of the report column for this attribute.

Dec. Places

The number of decimal places to display for the attribute (if appropriate).

Range of Blast numbers to report

The range of blast numbers to be reported. This is only important for rings where there is more than one charge interval in each hole. Leaving this field blank will report on all blasts.

Once this form is applied, the Ring Design Report Format File form will be displayed.

Output Report File Name

Enter the name of the file for the report to be written to.

Output Report File Format

This is the format of the file written, the allowed options include:

.html/.htm - HyperText Markup Language - this is the standard format for the World Wide Web (WWW) and so the output report will be readable in any web browser, or the report can be placed on an intranet to allow viewing by all staff.

.rtf - Rich Text Format - This is a format which is used in many word processors, especially Microsoft Word.

.pdf - Adobe Acrobat - a common format for reports and documents

.ps - PostScript - some printers can handle this format themselves, and so sending this file directly to the printer will result in perfect prints.

.not - Surpac Note File - the original note file output

.csv - Comma Separated - This file format can be imported directly into a spread sheet or database program.

Row Wrapping

Row Wrapping refers to how a line is to be displayed if the length of the row is longer then the page width. The choices you can select are:

Wrap Lines - Each row that is too long will be wrapped around to the following line on the page.

Wrap Over Page - Each row that is too long will be wrapped onto the following page.

Scale Cells Proportional - Each row will be printed onto a single line without any wrapping of the rows. If a row is to long for the page width, then the row will have its cells scaled proportionally.

Scale Cells Fixed Width - Each row will be printed onto a single line without any wrapping of the rows. If a row is to long for the page width, then the row will have its cells scaled. Each cell will be trimmed to the same width.

Warnings

This function requires an existing hole

No holes have been drilled for the current ring, so a report will not be created.
