Inspect Grid
This function allows you to inspect and alter just one or a number of point values in the grid. This function requests the entry of individual point coordinates, and then displays the Z and description values for that point.
To run this function: Choose File tools > Grid tools > Edit grid descriptors, or...
Grid limits
X and Y, Step size, Minimum and Maximum
The bounds and step size of the current working grid are displayed.
Select the grid cell of interest
X and Y
Enter the Y and X coordinates of the grid cell of interest.
If you do not wish to inspect further grid points, choose the Cancel button.
Complete the INSPECT/ALTER A GRID CELL form and choose Apply to display the ENTER DATA FOR A GRID CELL form.
Grid cell
The X and Y coordinates of the active grid cell are displayed.
Z value
Enter a new Z value for the selected grid cell if desired. If the current Z value of the grid cell is NULL then no default value will be displayed otherwise the current Z value for the grid cell is displayed.
If the grid has point descriptions then complete the ENTER DATA FOR A GRID CELL form and choose Apply to display a second ENTER DATA FOR A GRID CELL form.
Grid cell
The X and Y coordinates of the active grid cell are displayed.
Desc field
The current value of the description field is displayed as the default input value.
Enter a new description value for the field if desired.
This form is displayed for each of the description fields.
