Enter Grid Points
This function provides a fast means of entering data for each of the data points in a defined regular grid. Such data may be presented for data entry in different sequences, and it may be required to enter only a 'sub-grid' of the complete defined grid on any particular occasion. This selection caters for both these possibilities.
To run this function: Choose File tools > Grid tools > Manually enter grid points, or...

Display only.
Select a subgrid
X and Y, Minimum and Maximum
Initially you must define the sub-grid for which you intend to enter Z (and optionally, description) values. Accept the defaults to nominate the entire grid.
Complete the DEFINE A SUBGRID FOR PROCESSING form and choose Apply to display the ENTER GRID DATA form.
Select order of entry
You then select the sequence in which you wish to enter the values into the defined subgrid. The displayed choices allow data to be entered by row or column, and in forward or reverse order.
Complete the ENTER GRID DATA form and choose Apply to display the ENTER DATA FOR A GRID CELL form.
Grid cell
The X and Y coordinates of the active grid cell are displayed.
Z value
The default Z value displayed for each point will be the value already stored for that point in the grid. If the point has a `null' Z value, no default is displayed.
Enter the Z value for each point. The ENTER DATA FOR A GRID CELL form will continue to be displayed for successive grid cells in the sequence defined until you choose the Cancel button.
If the grid contains one or more description fields a form will be displayed for each of the Description fields to allow you to enter a value for it.
