Save Graphics workspace
This function saves the current status of the layers and viewports to a Surpac Workspace Area .swa file. All layer settings are saved for each viewport, including which files are loaded into each layer, which layers are active in which viewports, layer visibility, layer selectability, layer face and edge visibility, shading, layer colour interpolation, and layer edge lighting. Many viewport settings are saved such as current camera angle, window size, hidden surface setting, and lights.
To run this function: Choose File > Save > Graphics workspace, or...
Some limitations
There can be some confusion as to what files are actually loaded into a layer and which files you wish to recall back into the layers. For the workspace file, uses of UNDO and REDO applied to RECALL FILE are not supported. Thus, every file that has been loaded into a layer (since the last load and replace) is recalled. If a layer is saved, the new file name is the file that is recalled.
Recommendations
Before using save workspace, you should save each of the layers so that the resulting files are the ones you would want to be recalled.
