Viewer test

Function Name:

  • VIEWER TEST

This function allows you to determine which key and mouse button status information is returned by the low level hardware when a keyboard button or a mouse button is pressed.

You may need to use this function if the Viewer does not behave as documented when pressing the left, middle and right mouse buttons.

If your mouse buttons do not behave as documented, use the Viewer Test function to determine the status codes returned when pressing the left and right mouse buttons and define these status codes in the SSI_ETC:defaults.ssi file.

The options to use to define the status codes are:

  • viewer mouse status left
  • viewer mouse status right

Run VIEWER TEST to display the prompt:

Press a key or mouse button (q, x, or escape to quit)

While this prompt is displayed you may press any button on the mouse, or key on the keyboard to display the mouse button status, or the keyboard button code in the message window.

After determining the values that represent your left, middle and right mouse buttons, modify the SSI_ETC:defaults.ssi file to have your values.

Press q, x, or the escape button to terminate the Viewer Test function.
