Segment renumber

This function allows you to change the string number for a selected segment.

To run this function: Choose Edit > Segment > Renumber , or...

  • In the Function Chooser, type SEGMENT RENUMBER, and press ENTER.

Select the segment to be renumbered

Position the pointer and select the segment which is to have it's string number changed.

The SEGMENTRenumber function will continue until the Cancel button is pressed when the point selection prompt is displayed.

Selection of the segment will display the RENUMBER A SEGMENT form. Enter the new string number.

Swa name

Display only. The name of the active layer is displayed for your information.

Renumber string

Display only.

The number of the string which is to be renumbered is displayed for your information.

segment

Display only. The number of the segment which is to be renumbered is displayed for your information.

to string

Enter the new string number by which the segment is to be identified.

The selected segment is renumbered and the screen is updated accordingly.

The point selected is not in the working layer and cannot be edited

Only points which are in the active layer can be edited. You have selected a point which is not in the active layer.

Segment Reverse

This function allows you to reverse the existing direction of a selected segment.

To run this function: Choose Edit > Segment > Reverse , or...

  • In the Function Chooser, type SEGMENT REVERSE, and press ENTER.

Select the segment to be reversed

Position the pointer and select a point on the segment which is to be reversed.

The SEGMENTReverse function will continue until the Cancel button is pressed.

The selected segments are reversed in direction and the screen is updated accordingly.

The point selected is not in the working layer and cannot be edited 

Only points which are in the active layer can be edited. You have selected a point which is not in the active layer.

Segment Trim

This function allows you to trim a selected segment by another segment.

To run this function: Choose Edit > Segment > Trim , or...

  • In the Function Chooser, type SEGMENT TRIM, and press ENTER.

Select the segment to trim by

Position the pointer and select a point on the segment which is to be used as the boundary to trim the other segment by.

NOTE: This segment needs to be closed.

Select the segment to trim 

Position the pointer and select a point on the segment which is to be trimmed.

NOTE: This segment must be in the active layer. The SEGMENTTrim function will continue until the Cancel button is pressed.

The selected segments are trimmed and the screen is updated accordingly.

The point selected is not in the working layer and cannot be edited 

Only points which are in the active layer can be edited. You have selected a point which is not in the active layer.
