Rescale mode

This function is used to view or alter the rescale setting. The rescale setting determines how the data currently stored in GRAPHICS will be displayed when the Rescale display option of the Recall File function is set to Y and when the Zoom All function is then executed. The rescaling can be done using the data in all layers or just on the data which are stored in the active layer. If the rescale setting is for all layers then all data will fall inside the view window when a Zoom All is executed.

To run this function: Choose View > Data view options > Rescale mode, or...

• In the Function Chooser, type RESCALE, and press ENTER.

Enter rescale mode

Respond with:

• W, to rescale the active layer only, or
• A, to rescale all the layers in the view.

If the rescale setting is only for the active layer then there is no guarantee that data from all layers will fall within the bounds of the view window. Data from the active layer will always be visible in the view window.

The rescale setting is saved for future use by the appropriate functions.
