Hide grid surface

You use this function to hide Minex grids from Graphics.

To run this function: Choose Display > Hide grid surface, or...

  • In the Function Chooser, type ERASE GRID SURFACE, and press ENTER.

Some other tasks you can do with Minex grids are as follows.

  • To display a Minex grid in Surpac, drag it into Graphics.
  • To put more than one grid into the same layer, make the layer active, hold down CTRL, and drag the grids into Graphics.
  • To convert a Minex grid to a DTM, use the Surfaces > Convert grid surfaces to DTM command.
  • To display a hidden Minex grid, run the DRAW GRID SURFACE function.

Note: In Minex, a grid can represent a seam floor, a seam roof, the thickness of a layer of material, or the value of a quality attribute such as ash or sulphur.

Fields on the Erase a grid surface form

Field Description
Layer The layer, in the Layer Manager, that contains the grids you want to hide. The default value is All layers.
Grid surface

The grid, within the layer or layers specified in the Layer field, that you want to hide. The default value is All grids.

Note: To hide a specific grid, you must select the layer that holds the grid in the Layer field. Do not select All Layers.

Output

The grids you specified are hidden from Graphics.
