Erase Strings
Function Name:
This function permits you to erase string segments that have been drawn as simple polylines using standard range specifications.

Layer name
The name of the layer from which the data are to be erased may be entered here. The active layer is provided as the default value. You may erase data from all graphics layers by leaving this field blank.
String range
Enter the string range for which polylines are to be erased from the screen. The range must be a standard range specifier. You may leave the range blank if you wish to erase all strings in the layer.
Segment range
Enter the segment range for which polylines are to be erased from the screen. The range must be a standard range specifier. You may leave the range blank to erase all segments of each string.
Seg pnt range
This input has no effect for this function. The input field is only present through use of a common input form with other drawing functions.
Desc field number
The entry in this field has no effect for this function.
Result
The specified strings and segments in the active layer are erased from the screen. The data is not deleted and may be drawn at any time using any of the drawing functions.
