Hide strings in a layer
This function erases string data from any or all layers from the graphics screen. The data is only erased not deleted and may be redrawn at a later time.
To run this function: Choose Display > Hide strings > In a layer, or...
Layer name
The name of the graphics layer from which the data are to be erased may be entered here. The default name provided is the name of the active graphics layer. Data may be erased from all graphics layers by leaving this field blank.
String range
Enter the string range which is to be erased from the screen. The range must be a standard range specifier. You may leave the range blank if you wish to erase all strings in the layer.
Segment range
Enter the segment range which is to be erased from the screen. The range must be a standard range specifier. You may leave the range blank to erase all segments of each string that is to be erased.
Result
The specified data are erased from the screen. The data are not deleted and may be redrawn at any time using one of the drawing functions.
