Point edit

This function allows you to select a point and then view or alter the coordinates of the point.

To run this function: Choose Edit > Point > Properties, or...

  • In the Function Chooser, type POINT EDIT, and press ENTER.

Select the point to edit

Position the pointer and selected the point which is to be edited.

The POINT EDIT function will continue until the Cancel button is pressed at the select point prompt.

Selection of the point will display the Enter/Edit a point form. Enter the new point coordinates. The existing values for the points are displayed as defaults.

Function

Display only. The name of the function being executed.

String

Display only. The string number of the selected point.

Y value

Enter the Y value for the point.

X value

Enter the X value for the point.

Z value

Enter the Z value for the point.

Descriptions

Enter individual point descriptions for the point. Descriptions can be entered from D1 to D100.

The coordinates of the selected point are changed to the new values and the screen is updated accordingly.

The point selected is not in the working layer and cannot be edited 

Only points which are in the active layer can be edited. You have selected a point which is not in the active layer.

Point Delete

This function allows you to delete a selected point from the screen.

Note: To graphically delete a point from a segment which only has a single point you may have to DRAW Markers before deleting the point. See DRAW NO LABELS Markers.

To run this function: Choose Edit > Point > Delete, or...

  • In the Function Chooser, type POINT DELETE, and press ENTER.

Select the point to be deleted

Position the pointer and select the point to be deleted.

The POINTDelete function will continue until the Cancel button is pressed.

The selected point is deleted and the screen is updated accordingly.

The point selected is not in the working layer and cannot be edited 

Only points which are in the active layer can be edited. You have selected a point which is not in the active layer.
