Dynamic 2D Grid
You use this function to draw an annotated grid over the image in Graphics, when in plan, section, or long section view. The grid will update automatically when you zoom in and out or pan the data. The grid spacing is calculated based on the data extents and the width and height of the Graphics workspace.
To run this function: Choose Display > Dynamic 2D grid, or...
To stop this function: Select Display > Hide grid or click the Reset graphics button.
By default, when you run DYNAMIC 2D GRID, the 2D view is locked. You can unlock the 2D view by choosing Customise > Default preferences , then selecting Viewer settings and clearing the Lock mouse with dynamic grid check box. When the 2D view is unlocked, you will be able to rotate the data in Graphics. However, the dynamic grid is displayed only when the data is in plan, section, or long section view.
Result
The grid is drawn on the screen with labels on each of the grid lines.
Errors
The dynamic grid is only available in Plan, Section, Long Section view
You have attempted to draw a 2D grid in a view which is not in either plan, cross-sectional or long sectional view. This is not permitted.
