Show tablet setup

You use this function to view the digitiser parameters for the device that you are currently using. These parameters are previously defined using the digitiser tablet configuration functions.

To run this function: Choose Create > Digitiser tablet > Show tablet setup, or...

In the Function Chooser, type DIGITISER SHOW SETUP, and press ENTER.

The Digitiser setup form is displayed.

Note: This form only displays the current digitiser configuration. You cannot change any of the digitiser configuration parameters using this form.

Fields on the Digitiser setup form

Field	Description
Digitiser
Digitiser	Display only. The name of the selected digitiser.
Port	The port to which the digitiser is connected.
Baud	Communication speed, determined by your hardware.
#Stop bits	The number of stop bits, determined by your hardware.
Message format
Beep	Selected: A beep sounds for each point that is digitised. Cleared: No sound is played when a point is digitised.
Number format	The format for the digitiser X and Y coordinates. Options are: REAL: The digitiser sends real numbers. HEX: The digitiser sends hexadecimal numbers. UNKNOWN: The format is unknown and X and Y values are not translated.
Message length	The number of characters in the digitiser message string.
X Offset	The offset from the start of the message string to the character position of the X value.
Length	The number of characters representing the X value.
Y Offset	The offset from the start of the message string to the character position of the Y value.
Length	The number of characters representing the Y value.
Digitiser menu	Selected: The digitiser menu has been placed on the digitiser and its position and orientation is defined. Cleared: The digitiser menu is not located on the tablet.
Port attributes
Set attributes per point	Selected: The Z value and description field are entered for each point digitised. Cleared: The Z value and description field are entered only for each new digitiser string.
String #	The string number that is being digitised.
Segment #	The segment number that is being digitised.
Point #	The number of the point in the current segment that was most recently digitised.
Z	The Z value that has been entered for the digitiser point attributes.
Description	The point description that has been entered for the digitiser point attributes.
Scale
Scale	The number of digitiser units per unit (metres or feet). This is the scale of the map you are digitising on.
Transform Scale X	The X scale of the map you are digitising on. Note: For this field to be filled, the Scale parameter must be defined and the digitiser transformation must be defined.
Transform Scale Y	The Y scale of the map you are digitising on. Note: For this field to be filled, the Scale parameter must be defined and the digitiser transformation must be defined.
