The values entered in the description fields of the new point are taken from the description fields of the nearest point if you are using snap to line or snap to triangle. If you are using no snap, no values are added to the description fields.
User entered Desc The values you typed in the Desc field are entered in the description fields for each point.
Project selections to the current plane
  • Selected: When you are snapping to existing data (for example, point, line, or triangle), the point is projected onto the active plane.
  • Cleared: When you are snapping to existing data (for example, point, line, or triangle), the point is digitised at the exact location of the existing data.
