Depth perception on
Depth perception gives the appearance to the scene that the further an object is away from the viewer the darker it may become. Any Object which has been drawn may have graphics depth applied to it.
To run this function: Choose View > Surface view options > Depth perception on
Firstly, the minimum, maximum and centre of data is calculated across all graphics layers. It uses the current camera viewing angle and distance to determine the best appearance possible for the data. These values may be modified to allow freedom when the data does not appear correctly shaded. These values must always be recalculated when adding new data or loading new files into graphics.
Depth perception off
You use this command to turn off depth perception, so that each object is not darker, the further it is away from the viewer.
To run this function: Choose View > Surface view options > Depth perception off
The attribute for graphics depth perception is turned off. This will remove the graphics depth option and any values associated with it. The graphics display is refreshed.
