Section axis using mouse

This function allows you to define the axis line graphically and then view the coordinates of the defined line on a data entry form for alteration before the new axis is on the screen.

To run this function: Choose Create > Section axis using mouse, or...

• In the Function Chooser, type DEFINE AXIS BY GRAPHICS, and press ENTER.

Input

Click and drag to define the axis.

Position the cursor to the start of the axis and then click and drag to define the axis line. After releasing the mouse button the DEFINE AN AXIS LINE form will be displayed with the new axis coordinates for verification.

Axis start - Y, X and Z

Enter the Y, X and Z coordinates for the start of the axis line.

Axis end - Y, X and Z

Enter the Y, X and Z coordinates for the end of the axis line.

Result

A line is drawn to represent the string file axis. If no line appears then it may either be because the axis coordinates do not fall within the coordinate extents of the current viewport or because the axis length is zero.
