Split volumes into layers
This function will allow you to split your end area volume into layers. It will split with any file of closed cross sections. For example, sections through DTM's can also be split using this module
To run this function: Choose Surfaces > Volumes > By elevations from sections, or...
Location, ID
Enter the Location and ID of the file containing the closed cross sections to be split into layers.
Define the range of layers to split volume
Enter the Range of layers. For example, if your open pit has an elevation range of 53.5 to 123.6ms. The following range of layers would be appropriate.
50,125,5
Note: The first elevation in the range is less than the minimum elevation in the pit and the last elevation in the range is greater than the maximum elevation in the pit. This ensures that all material is accounted for.
A compound range can also be accommodated, for example,
50,70,10;75,125,5
or
@split
where split.rng is a range file.
Define the report file for results
Enter the file name in the Location field and select a file format to define the resultant file that will be created.
