Stereoscopic 3D visualisation
To make stereoscopic 3D visualisation available in Surpac you need to configure your graphics driver and change the default preference settings in Surpac.
Configure your graphics driver
- Click the Start button and choose Control Panel.
- Click NVIDIA Control Panel.
- Under the Stereoscopic 3D node, click Set up stereoscopic 3D.
- Select the Enable stereoscopic 3D check box.
- Set the Depth slider to Default.
- Clear the Hide stereoscopic 3D effects when game starts check box.
- Under the 3D Settings node, click Manage 3D settings.
- In the Global Settings tab, set the Global presets to 3D OpenGL Stereo, and ensure the Stereo - Display mode is set to NVIDIA recommended.
- Under the Display node, click Change resolution.
- In Resolution, under HD 3D, select 720p, 1280 x 720.
- Close the NVIDIA Control Panel.
Note: This resolution is recommended because it supports a 60 Hz refresh rate. The resolution is limited by hardware, a 60 Hz refresh rate at 1920 x 1080 might be supported in future hardware.
Select stereo 3D mode in Surpac
- Choose Customise > Default preferences.
- Under Graphics > Hardware settings, click the Graphics display driver drop-down and choose OpenGL.
- Select the Stereo 3D check box.
- Click Apply.
- Exit and restart Surpac for the settings to take effect.
Note: The OpenGL driver is currently the only driver to support stereoscopic 3D visualisation.
The Surpac graphics workspace is displayed in stereoscopic 3D mode.
