System defaults
The system defaults files allow you to customise the way the software looks and runs. All the system files are standard ASCII text files and can be modified with any text editor program.
System files that end with a file extension of `.ssi'
(e.g. defaults.ssi) may be customised by the user.
Each system file has a master distribution counterpart with an extension of `.mst' (e.g. defaults.mst).
The master versions of these files should never be modified as they are updated when newer versions of the software are released.
