Export Block model to XPAC
Function Name:
This function allows you to create a fixed format design block file from a Surpac Block Model which is suitable for input to Runge Mining's XPAC program.
To run this function: Choose File > Export > Block model to XPAC, or Block model > Block model > Export > to XPAC, or...
Enter names of attributes to report
You may include any number of attributes to report in the output file. Note however it is only possible to report numeric attributes. The volume weighted average of each selected attribute is reported in the output data file.
Attributes to GROUP by specified in correct ORDER
It is possible to group the output by various attributes in the model. These groups are restricted to the character attributes. Using groups allows you to collate various aspects of the model's data. At least one attribute must be used to group the data.
Each group attribute selected will occupy 20 characters in the resulting output file, while the 'volume' field uses only 16 characters.
Upon selecting each group attribute, the STRING ATTRIBUTE LIST form is displayed to accept input for any specific character values which are to be use for grouping the data.
Attribute name
This is displayed to remind you of the attribute for which values are being defined.
Report all values
If all different values in the attribute field are to be used for grouping then enter `Yes' here. If a subset of the values, or you wish to define a specific order in which the values should be grouped, then enter 'No'.
Attribute values
If you answered `No' to ``Report all values?'' then you must enter the values and order of the selected attribute.
If you answered `Yes' to ``Report all values?'' then you may enter some or all of the values of the selected attribute. The order in which you enter values will be the order they appear in the output.
Do you want to apply Constraints?
Enter 'Yes' if you wish to restrict the blocks included in the report using constraints. Enter 'No' to use the whole model. If you choose to use constraints, the ENTER CONSTRAINTS form will be displayed to permit you to define the constraints.
Output Filename
Enter the name of the design block file to be created. An extension of '.dat' will be appended to the name entered if no extension is specified. Note that the file name automatically defaults to the name of the model.
Complete the XPAC INTERFACE form and choose Apply to display the CONFIRM CREATION OF A NEW FILE form should you be attempting to overwrite an existing file as selected in the Output Filename field. If there is no existing file, choosing Apply on the XPAC INTERFACE form will display the ENTER CONSTRAINTS form if constraints have been requested. If no constraints are required then processing will commence immediately.
Result
A '.dat' file of the name entered above is created in a fixed format design block file layout. The output is suitable for inputting into the Runge Mining package XPAC. An example of the output is given below.
Each group attribute selected will occupy 20 characters in the resulting output file, while the 'volume' field uses only 16 characters. Reported attributes occupy 16 characters.
