Save block model as
This function allows you to save the current model to another name and create a new model. The original model will still be saved in it's original form to the original file name.
To run this function: Choose File > Save > Block model as, Block model > Block model > Save as, or...
Fields on the Save Model form
Model name
Enter the name of the new model to be created.
Description
Enter the description for the new model (if desired). This is optional, and by default the description for the current model will be saved to the new file.
Model Format
With the introduction of new features for the block model in version 4.0, the block model file format has changed. This means that a block model saved in the new format cannot be loaded into an earlier (3.2 or before) version of Surpac. This option therefore allows the saving of the block model in an older format.
Please note, however, that the new features for version 4.0 : calculated attributes, attribute description and the number of decimals to display for attributes cannot be saved in the old format, and so all information on these new features will be lost.
Choose Apply to save the model to a new file. If the old model already exists as a file, the VERIFY CREATION OF A FILE form will be displayed for you to confirm overwriting of that file.
