Recording audit
This function gives a detailed explanation of all actions that have been performed on a model. If the model is pre version 5, the audit will start as soon as it is loaded into Surpac version 5. However, if you want to maintain the integrity of that model for previous versions of Surpac, you must use the save as function and save as a pre version 5 model. This will strip the audit trail from the model.
To run this function: Choose Block model > Block model > Display model audit trail, or...
This form shows details for the Block Model Audit Trail for display and export. It displays all functions performed as tree branches. If more detailed information is required, click on the function and if there is additional data you can then expand the function out to see its forms and field data. Modification of a comment for a function can be performed by right clicking on the desired function and clicking on change comment. It will automatically be updated.
You can also export the audit to a report or a macro.
Export as Report
This button allows the export of either the entire model audit or just functions that have been selected with the mouse.
There are a number of options on the export report form, the filename, the format type and the type of report you wish to create.
The type of report can either contain just the function definitions and time performed comment and how performed the function, or complete data that includes all forms and fields that go with the function.
Note : It is possible to record the exporting of reports and macros to a macro
Export as Macro
This button allows the export of either the entire model audit or just functions that have been selected with the mouse.
This function will output the functions to a file that then can be executed as a macro. That is, it could allow you to create a model using just the audit data.
