Block model edges and faces

You use these functions to show or hide the faces of a block model. When you hide faces, the block model becomes transparent. You also use these functions to hide block model edges which you might do, especially when the block size is small, to remove lines and make it easier to see annotations, colours, or other data in the block model.

To run this function: Choose View > Surface view options > Hide block model edges, or View > Surface view options > Hide block model faces, or Block model > Display > Edge and face visibility, or...

  • In the Function Chooser, type BLOCK EDGES AND FACES, and press ENTER.
  • In the Function Chooser, type BLOCK EDGES ON, and press ENTER.
  • In the Function Chooser, type BLOCK EDGES OFF, and press ENTER.
  • In the Function Chooser, type BLOCK FACES ON, and press ENTER.
  • In the Function Chooser, type BLOCK FACES OFF, and press ENTER.

Edges

A block model can have the visibility of Edges of objects turned on or off like the Edges on/ Edges off command but limited to the block model. A Edges on/ Edges off command is able to alter the current layers setting for Edges.

Faces

A block model can have the visibility of faces of objects turned on or off like the faces on/ faces off command but limited to the block model. A faces on/faces off command is able to alter the current layers setting for faces.
